Gowell is an online education company. We deliver online learning materials that are contributed or customized by all participants in the learning process - publishers, authors, instructors and learners. Our award-winning content delivery platform brings to life learning materials by auto-generating voice output, definitions, phonetics and other learning support. These learning platforms easily support curriculum-based lessons, homework exercises and quizzes, and therefore can be used both in and out of the classroom.

Gowell started off developing Chinese language technologies that help modernize this long-standing language. Our inaugural product, GoChinese, incorporates strong linguistic and modern approaches, such as using voice engines to read out any text, as well as emphasizing phonetics and a word basis to the language. Based on its early success with GoChinese, Gowell has expanded its platform to support the teaching of other languages, as well as provide different bilingual support. Launched in 2007, GoEnglish incorporates advanced linguistic engines, uniquely generating context-specific definitions for English language learning materials.

Gowell is currently supporting learners of all ages at academic institutions, governments and corporations around the world and we will continue to grow this base of active users. Gowell has also expanded its services to individual, self-learners.

In November 2006, Gowell won both the top Asia Pacific ICT Award (APICTA) in Education and Training as well as the Hong Kong ICT Grand Award in eLearning.
